Behind the scenes during filming of Nyla’s Journey: a smiling young woman stands outdoors while a film crew with cameras and a boom microphone gathers around her.

Nyla’s Journey

Today’s transport system is leaving people with sight loss behind. One in three blind and partially sighted people rarely or never use public transport, denying them an essential part of everyday life.

This has to change. Transport needs to evolve so everyone can travel independently, confidently and without barriers.

That’s why RNIB and the Motability Foundation have teamed up to bring together people with lived experience of sight loss and the transport sector to collectively design what the future of accessible travel could look like.

The result is ‘Nyla’s Journey’, an 8-minute film that brings to life what an accessible future transport system could look like.
